| | So I haven't posted in this for a while. At one point I couldn't get it to work, but aside from whatever I was going to write about that time (I can't remember), nothing interesting ever happens.
Nothing interesting has happened yet, but I'm still waiting.
I'm starting to get my summer all booked and scheduled, which is fun and no fun at the same time. I figure that since I'm stuck going on vacation with my grandparents (believe me, I tried to get out of it), I might as well enjoy it. Then we've got the Ren Faire, going to my dad's, and visiting my cousin to take up the rest of the time. Not that I don't want to do all of that stuff, but it would be nice not to have another summer like last year.
School isn't over yet, though, and I'm falling behind with my homework. I'm getting lazy like I was last year. Definitely not good. I am doing better in French, though. Too bad it won't get me anywhere. That's right, in case you haven't heard (I know you have because I probably told you myself), they're not planning on having a 3/4 French next year. And just when I was starting to enjoy the class itself, too. We're finally getting to the point where I can actually use my French. Blech.
Well, I finally got a bank account and I was going to get a cell phone, but (as multiple people were so kind as to point out to me) no one would call me anyway, and I wouldn't use it often enough to make it worthwhile. What a self esteem boost, I know. But it's true. Maybe I'll get one eventually, but it won't do me much good this summer, will it? Until then I'll find something better to do with my money.
Lately I've been vaguely and passively obsessed with the 18th century--that's 18th century America, England, as well as Russia. I've also been downloading a lot of the songs my dad used to sing to me when I was little, like John Prine and Jimmy Buffet. Pretty awesome. |
